From Toddler to Professional

Rory Daniel McIlroy MBE (born 4 May 1989) is a Northern Irish professional golfer who is a member of both the European Tour and the PGA Tour. His golfing story started as a toddler, and he has since become one of the most successful golfers in the world.

Early Years

McIlroy began playing golf at the age of two. He quickly showed a natural talent for the game, and by the age of 10, he was winning tournaments against much older players. In 2004, he became the youngest player to ever win the Irish Amateur Open.

Professional Career

McIlroy turned professional in 2007. He quickly made a name for himself on the European Tour, winning his first tournament in 2009. In 2011, he won his first major championship, the US Open. He has since won four more major championships, including the PGA Championship twice, the British Open, and the Masters Tournament.

Recent Years

McIlroy has continued to be one of the most successful golfers in the world in recent years. He has won multiple tournaments on both the European Tour and the PGA Tour. In 2022, he was ranked number one in the world by the Official World Golf Ranking.
